Founded in 1998 by Tom Duncan, the eponymous Dr. Dubious, the band plays Dixieland jazz from the early part of the 20th Century in the New Orleans and Chicago styles. Committed to preserving America’s only true original art form – JAZZ - while also keeping it very much alive through performance, we provide an entertaining and educational program suitable for libraries, summer park concerts, retirement communities, assisted living and nursing home facilities, as well as parties, weddings, corporate and private events.

Because jazz originated in New Orleans we can provide authentic music for Mardi Gras themed functions, including funerals, memorials and church services. We also do Roaring Twenties and Gatsby themes, indoor and outdoor venues, large and small. Any event where the sound of early jazz will enhance the ambience or hold an audience’s attention.

We’d love to talk to you about your needs and desires. Fees are negotiable. Please contact us.
